Ebonyi State Team Gears Up for the King and Queen of the Ring
The passion is alive, the gloves are ready, and the countdown has begun. The Ebonyi State Boxing Team is in full preparation mode ahead of the much-anticipated King and Queen of the Ring Talent Unseen Boxing Championship, scheduled to take place from December 16 to 18, 2025, at the prestigious David’s Hill Entertainment Center, Enugu.
Organized by ATC Global Sports Tours Ltd in collaboration with the Talent Unseen Sports & Entrainment Ltd, this year’s edition promises to be a thrilling celebration of skill, discipline, and talent. The championship will feature boxers from the five South East states of Nigeria — Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Imo, and Anambra — all competing for pride, glory, and the opportunity to be crowned King and Queen of the Ring.
Ebonyi Fighters in Focus
At the Ebonyi State stadium in Abakaliki, training has reached a fever pitch. The atmosphere is intense but inspiring — echoing with the sounds of determination as young boxers push their limits through rigorous drills, sparring sessions, and conditioning exercises.
Their focus is clear: to represent Ebonyi with honor and bring home the championship titles. Coaches have praised the commitment of the athletes, noting that this year’s team is stronger, faster, and more united than ever before.
“These boxers are not just training to fight; they’re training to make history,” said one of the team’s head coaches. “Every punch thrown in camp is a promise to the people of Ebonyi that we are ready.”
The Championship: A Stage for Discovery
The King and Queen of the Ring Talent Unseen Boxing Championship is more than just a sporting event — it’s a platform for discovering the next generation of boxing stars from the South East.
With categories for both male and female fighters, the competition will feature the Female’s 44–46kg weight class and Male’s 46-49kg, where winners will share a ₦1,600,000 cash prize pool, along with medals and trophies for top performers across all divisions.
Beyond the rewards, the event aims to strengthen regional unity, promote sports tourism, and highlight the growing influence of grassroots boxing development in Nigeria — a vision championed by Anyichie Tony Chidi, Director of ATC Global Sports Tours Ltd.
The Road to Enugu
From December 16–18, 2025, all eyes will be on David’s Hill Entertainment Center, Enugu, as the South East’s finest amateur boxers go head-to-head for the crown. For the Ebonyi State Boxing Team, this is more than a tournament — it’s a mission, a dream, and a chance to show the world that champions rise from the heart of Ebonyi.
